About Joe

Raised in Lynbrook, Joe Ferrara has dedicated his life to making the Island a better place to live.

 
Growing up, he learned important values- family, hard work and giving back to your community. These are values that we all share.
 

As a student at Stony Brook University, Joe Ferrara played a leadership role in a statewide student group. He helped coordinate important campaigns, including one to clean up toxic sites across the state.   
 

In recent years, he has also worked at a local nature preserve and science center. There he attracted business and community support to revitalize the grounds, making the preserve a valuable resource to our community.      
 

As an Account Manager for a not-for-profit organization, Joe works with diverse constituencies including businesses, community organizations, houses of worship, and schools to secure life-saving products for countless people across the Island.     
 

Joe lives in Valley Stream with his wife Valerie.
