I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported my campaign for the New York State Assembly. Running for office was an incredible experience, and I consider it an honor to have had the opportunity to meet thousands of residents in our community and listen to their concerns.

I am especially grateful to the 21,799 individuals who voted for me on Election Day. Your support helped me earn an impressive 43 percent of the vote - the greatest percentage earned by any challenger in all the Assembly races on Long Island.

Of course, I would also like to thank the colunteers who dedicated a lot of time and energy to the campaign.

Like many of the people that I ran across in recent months, I have been inspired by the 2008 elections and look forward to continuing my work to help bring positive change in our community and our nation in any way I can
